Wordless Wednesday: Wedding Bells

An adoptee who found both her maternal and paternal side 18 years ago, I began digging into my new found families past. The journey has been amazing connecting and reconnecting lost and found generations.

  1. So beautiful, but no smiles. =) I’ve been indexing marriage certificates from the early 1900s, and imagining the people getting married, so it’s extra fun to see your family members on that day.

  2. Boy, she does not look happy! Scared, maybe? Or just not into smiling. I hope their marriage was happier than her expression!

        1. I actually looked back over the few wedding photo’s I do have for them and they seem to not be smiling in them.

  3. Do I ever love that veil! Having recently looked at bridal gowns and veils with my daughter, I have a better appreciation for all wedding clothing!!!

    1. Nothing tops the veils of yesterday’s year. Enjoy the wedding shopping with your daughter – so much fun and excitement. I am so happy for you and your family – precious time!

      1. Thank you. I think my daughter’s veil will be very very long, but very plain so that the dress itself is what is noticed. It will just add a very transparent layer to the dress, if that makes sense.

I would love to hear from you
